Going Purple

Radiant Orchid este culoarea anului 2014, stabilita de Pantone (un fel de autoritate mondiala in domeniul culorilor). Specialistii lor o definesc ca o „armonie incantatoare de tonuri de fucsia, mov si roz”.

Vestea cea buna este ca avem o culoare care se potriveste oricui: daca ai un ten deschis poti opta pentru tonurile mai deschise de lavanda; unui ten mai inchis i se potrivesc nuantele mai accentuate. OK, OK…dar cum port aceasta culoare? Daca esti mai timida in alegeri sau pur si simplu nu vrei sa faci investitii majore in garderoba, te poti juca cu accesoriile: coliere, inele, cercei, esarfe. The good news is that the color is very flattering for all kinds of people: if you have a fair skin, you should try the pastel/pale lavender shades; if your skin tone is darker you can play with the deep shades of orchid.

Ok, ok…but how can I wear it? If you are timid person or you don’t want to change your whole wardrobe, you can start to wear accessories in this color: necklaces, rings, earrings and scarfs. If you are a big fan of black, just try an orchid-toned shoe or just a manicure with an all-black outfit.

Not only with black goes this color. The best complimentary colors for orchid purple are green and yellow.
